Yesterday Burt Jones spoke during the Inauguration of re-elected Georgia Governor, Brian Kemp.
During his speech, he recalled his time in UGA football and cited “small town values.” But several parts of his address raised the hair on many necks. He spoke of pay-raises for teachers, yet avoided discussion of the presence of CRT, gender concerns, and other educational issues now front-of-mind with hundred of thousands of parents across Georgia. At one point while noting the value of community involvement he appeared openly nervous and then went so far as to say “….the needs of the community become more important than the needs of individuals…”
Given the events of the last two years, during which many Americans were TOLD what they as individuals could and could no do, where they could and could not go it is understandable that such a statement would make many bristle.
Many are asking what happened to Burt Jones, the out-spoken champion of investigations following the 2020 Elections.
On December 3, 2020, Burt Jones Chaired Georgia State Senate Hearings following the 2020 election. Jones claimed at the time that only he and handful of legislators were willing to step up and call for a special session of the Georgia Assembly. Meanwhile Gov. Kemp claimed that he had no ability to call a special session. Despite evidence presented by a number of experts and witnesses no special session was ever convened.
Jones later stated that he had been Stripped of Committee Chair positions by the then Lt. Gov Geoff Duncan. This step apparently in retribution for his open stance of Election concerns. On Jan 13th, Jones cited an article in the Tennessee Star, reporting that he and others were being stripped of their Committee Chairmanships.
In June 2021, Jones flew along with Brandon Beach and others to Arizona to learn about the Maricopa audit and gather a blueprint for a similar approach in Georgia.
Upon his return from Arizona, Jones announced “Georgia needs to do the same.” He also attended and spoke at Election Integrity meetings during the June 2021 GOP Convention and noted again that he had been kicked off his committees.
Little more than a month later Jones announced a run for Lt. Gov. Aiming for the seat of the very person responsible for removing Jones from his Committee leadership positions.
Shortly thereafter, Jones outspoken position on the need for a Statewide forensic audit reportedly became significantly subdued.
While mention of Election Integrity remained on his campaign website, it took third position to Economy and Jobs.
Yesterday, Jones took the stage to praise Brian Kemp who in the next two days will travel to Davos, Switzerland, and speak before the World Economic Forum, (WEF) the group who is widely regarded as a driving force behind the “New World Order.” Few would argue that the New World Order concept places control and “greater good” before individual rights, freedoms and liberties.
We hope Mr. Jones will find the courage and will to return to the beliefs he so openly espoused such a short time ago and work for Family, Faith and Freedom for his “individual” Georgia constituents.
Perhaps he might benefit from a review of something Ronald Reagan once said:
“There can be no greater good than the quest for peace, and no finer purpose than the preservation of freedom.”
What happened to Burt? Ahem.....he got elected! It's a process likened to a chameleon who changes colors when his environment changes. Campaign trail....one color. Win an election...voila....the other color shows up! (Called him the day he announced.......turned out to be a big waste of time......mine!)

The short answer in NOTHNG. I am not a paid or volunteer on Burt's staff. I am a concerned citizen who believes in fairness.
My intent is not to defend Burt, just share some facts and experiences to help folks draw educated conclusions. I have been fortunate to get to know Burt first as a person…. and second as a candidate. Burt’s top priority has always been and still is to govern for the good for all, both sides of the aisle. His motive is to serve to make things better in our State. His style to help accomplish his goals is to not be combative. He has clear objectives. He (and me) believe he cannot be effective if he alienates opposition recklessly and gets into unproductive food fights. His style is to air differences behind closed doors, not in press conferences and press releases. At the same time he sticks firmly to his principles, no compromises. In short, I have not seen or heard a thing to justify a conclusion he has changed his position on election integrity, education, CRT or law enforcement.
He has several challenges, since his focus/principles are not always in alignment with The Governor and many elected state representatives. Instead he choses to work with them, not openly combative. Smart. Unfortunately, many in opposition to his beliefs don't operate this way. Fraud or clean election are two good examples.
Burt has only been on the job for less than a couple of weeks. I feel it is irresponsible and unfair to draw the hipshot conclusions and make these insinuations without a valid basis. Please consider giving Burt sometime. I am confident you and Georgians will be delighted with actions they witness in this legislative session. Thank you for listening to my thoughts.

He only had 15 minutes for his inaugural speech. Hardy adequate time for a in-depth policy plan! Yet your conclusions were based on limited overview.
