Pisgah Patriots Landslide Win! They defeated Kings Ridge 64-22 on Friday night to improve their record to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in Region 6B-A. The 64 points scored by the Patriots set a school record for most points scored in a game. The previous record was set in a 63-62 loss to Our Lady of Mercy in October of 2007.

The Patriots started the game with an eight play 61-yard drive that concluded with an Osby Dixon three-yard run. Chase Clark passed to William Mapes to complete the two-point conversion and the Patriots led 8-0. The Patriots scored two more touchdowns on five and eight yard runs by Aaron Winchester to extend the lead to 22-0. After Colton Adamczyk forced an interception by Max Miller, Winchester hit Ben Miller for a 46-yard touchdown pass.

Kings Ridge scored with less than a minute left in the half, but Winchester led the Patriots down the field quickly, scoring on a 45-yard pass to a wide-open Jacob Greene. This gave the Patriots a 36-7 lead at halftime.

After the Tigers scored to open the second half, the Patriots rattled off three straight touchdowns. The first came by way of a nine-yard rush by Dixon, then a four-yard rush by Nicky Piccapietra, and finally a one-yard rush by Michael Provost. The Tigers managed to force a safety and then scored one last touchdown, and freshman Michael Garrison finished the scoring with a 56-yard run to give the Patriots the victory.

Winchester was 6-of-13 passing on the night for 120 yards and two touchdowns. He also had 13 carries for 110 yards and two more scores. Dixon had 91 rushing yards and two scores, and the rest of the Patriots combined to give the team 425 rushing yards. Miller led the Patriots with 5 catches for 75 yards and a touchdown. Defensively Blake Smith led the defense with six tackles, including two for a loss.

The Patriots return to Savior Field for Senior Night next week against Whitefield. Whitefield fell to St. Francis 14-7 last week and have a 4-4 record overall and 2-2 mark in region 6B-A play.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
