The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.

Does every city in North Fulton County have to have all of these facilities?

Seems like the taxpayers within Johns Creek are becoming obligated for more and more overhead after each City Council meeting.

Can we slow this growth of overhead down by having the City Council meet only once a month?

The Arts & Culture Board is requesting the City provide the land for the footprint.

    This is fabulous!

Ok a 1% impact fee on new construction to pay for this... How much future development is Johns Creek expecting??

If impact fees are acceptable, why hasn't the city done them for road improvements?? The developers are the ones adding to the infrastructure burden.
Instead they get off free and we have the additional taxes and now Tsplost tax...

We already have a performing arts venue...it's the roads. Every day one can witness for free the dance thousands of cars and trucks make to get around the traffic jams to reach their destinations! We have more pressing priorities that another monument to the City's leaders.

Thanks so much for this article, but why was there no mention of the Johns Creek Arts Center? Gallery and classroom space for the arts center is also a part of this proposal.

    This is fabulous news!
Where will the Johns Creek Performing Arts Center be located?
    Thank you

    Editor

There is no location at this time. They are asking for the land be given to them, and to tax or impose a fee to fund the construction/development of it.
