What are Johns Creek's 3 biggest challenges?

We Ask the Candidates: What are Johns Creek's 3 biggest challenges, and how would you propose to address them?

*Although John Flores did not respond to the questionnaire, we included his name and photo to show he is on the ballot and was not omitted on our part.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.

    Mr. Coughlin,

How long do you think it should take to implement even a temporary solution such as signs and road markings that state "Do Not Block the Box" for intersections with chronic problems such as 141 and St. Ives/Grove Point Road?

Are the residents expecting too much from City Staff in addressing issues such as this?

    Thank you.

    Chris Coughlin

That is a very minimal investment in terms of both money and time so I'd expect it to be expedited quickly. I understand it is a GDOT controlled road, but I'd look to get moving on something that simple immediately and also communicate if there would be any impact with GDOT's approval process.

Hey John if you can't answer questions then why are you running for office?

There was a meeting held last night at Seven Oaks for residents to finally receive answers on questions asked regarding the widening of McGinnis Ferry and Jones Bridge roads. We have been looking for direct answers for 6+ months. There were two council members present, Endres & Zaprowski, but the remainder were absent. Chris Coughlin (candidate for Post 4) was also present as he is quite aware of the issues and concerns. There were 80-90 folks at this meeting.

It appears Steve Broadbent was hosting a meet and greet for John Flores at the Atlanta Athletic Club and this was far more important for the rest of council to attend. To me, if John Flores is being courted by the establishment politicians in Johns Creek, he isn't what we are looking for as clear representation.

Just my take on it and I will be voting for Chris Coughlin who I believe will represent me effectively!!

We, both, are voting for Chris C and Jon Ossoff... :-)

Concerned Tax Payer makes an important point. We have two City Council members (Stephanie Endres and Lenny Zaprowski) who are regularly attending meetings with John's Creek residents, while the Mayor and the balance of our City Council make excuses for missing those meetings, or find it more important to attend a campaign event for one of the candidates to fill the one open seat.

The fact that our "missing" representatives are campaigning for that candidate speaks volumes - they are supporting John Flores because they see him as an ally. Our other candidate, Chris Coughlin, made the time to attend to meeting with affected residents.

My takeaway: Endres, Zaprowski, and Coughlin take their responsibility to Johns Creek residents seriously. The rest? Not so much......
