Jay Lin continues to be neglectful when it comes to his duties as a City Councilman. We've reported about his numerous absences here, here and here.
He was appointed by Mayor Bodker to be on the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), along with Lenny Zaprowski and Bob Gray, who recently resigned to run for Congress.
Councilman Jay Lin has missed 4 of the 8 CAC meetings. The most recent meeting, he left early.
The CAC is the most significant event for Johns Creek. It determines the blueprint for future development, and how the City will be for the next twenty years.
Mr. Lin is missing the important discussions and presentations and the opportunity to dialog with the other residents.
This leaves only Councilman Lenny Zaprowski to provide sole representation and feedback to the City Council.
Jay Lin, where are you?
You still collect a paycheck from City Hall.
Unacceptable.
Jay Lin is another who needs leave public service.
Useless.
Johns Creek needs to enact a requirement that Council members must attend 80% of official scheduled meetings else be disqualified from serving.
This country including our city, Johns Creek, being run by businessmen who their first priority is to add more zeros on their net worth, not listening residents or their needs. What else was expected from Jay Lin. He is busy running his development business and dealing with big developers and profit from his position in the city.
Totally unacceptable.

He effectively bought is seat on the council by spending an exorbitant amount on campaigning. He obviously doesn't need the paycheck from the city. Let's cut him off. Can we write that in on our upcoming ballot next week?
Jay Lin Endorses John Flores. Think long and hard about that before voting for John Flores.
The campaign reports for both City Council candidates are now available from the City Clerk’s office. To date, Chris Coughlin has raised 86% of his money from Johns Creek residents in donations averaging $119 per person, whereas John Flores has raised 94% of his money from outside of Johns Creek in donations averaging $1,640 per person. I am not voting for Jay Lin Version 2.0
Chris appears to be the much better choice.
Yes, thank you. We have a post in the works on the campaign donations.
