How Amazon Crushes Small USA Businesses - Instead of Help Them

I ordered some pads of paper for work. I needed two batches and I saw Amazon also sells their version so I purchased one of each to see what the difference is. They look the same, they'll work the same. Here are the two differences... Price and where they were made...

TOPS brand = $11 and made in USA
Amazon brand =$12 and made in China

I'm guessing the TOPS brand is undercutting Amazon brand just to get some sales, but Amazon takes at least a 30% cut so TOPS only makes $7.70 (minus cost). If I go by Amazon ratings Amazon is selling 3.67x the amount that TOPS is selling.

How can the little guy compete? Amazon is killing small business. Not only do they sell almost 4x as much, they are making a much larger profit AND they are taking some of the profit from the other company too.

Im going to actively start shopping local for anything I need. If we dont? We'll eventually be forced to buy from Amazon and they'll dictate what we can and cant purchase.
