On Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, Sherry Williams picked up her grandson from Isle of Hope K-8 school. Per usual, she asked him what he had learned that day.
His response was typical kid-speak. Nothing, he said.
“You know that thing? Absolutely nothing,” Williams recalled with a knowing laugh. “So, you start the conversation: What did you learn about Columbus..?”
