CORRECTION: We originally printed the FCRP meeting was on the 30th. That was an oversight and incorrect. The meeting is on the 31st, we are told; although the FCRP did not respond to our inquiry.

Informed sources with knowledge of the situation inside the Fulton County Republican Party Trust (FCRP) operations over the last decade, have relayed curious information concerning the issue of the FCRP 'Trust Office.'

For over much of the last ten years, thousands of dollars a year were paid to a financial company in Atlanta for a lease for an 'office' for the FCRP Trust.

There are questions as to whether or not this office actually existed.

We know that the record keeping for the trust for over a decade was horrendous, and individuals had to scour attics to find boxes of records, in an attempt to recreate what actually happened. As we have reported, fiduciary responsibility was lacking. Much of the recorded history of the operations of the trust doesn't exist because there simply are no available records.

Which begs the question - wouldn't these records be in the 'trust office' that the FCRP trust was paying thousands of dollars a year for a lease to maintain?

The FCRP is said to finally release information from the 'forensic review' of only one year (2018) of the operations of the trust at their meeting on the 31st of this month. Interestingly enough, 2018 was chosen because it was the year they had the most records. Isn't that ironic? If you were doing an audit, wouldn't you want to look at years where records didn't exist?

Will they discuss the 'trust office' issue on the 31st of July at the FCRP membership meeting? Will the question even be raised?

Who received the money? What did it actually pay for? Who owned the building where the money was paid?

Of course, it's possible the trust office does exist, and is filled with records of operations, and we will look foolish for raising the question.

We don't know all the answers, but we sure think this should be looked into.

We asked FCRP leadership about this situation weeks ago, copied their attorney, and did not receive a response.

There are a number of questions outstanding.

Is this trust an actual trust? That is, is there a trust agreement? May we see it?

Who is the trustor? Who or what is the beneficiary? Who is the trustee?

Is the trust registered with the IRS as 501 of some kind?

What assets, if any, does the trust have? Who or what is the custodian?

Has the trust ever received any donations from the public?

    Let’s have some answers, please.
