In what some hope is a sign legislators are actually listening to their constituents, a Bill has passed the Senate which would largely prohibit the use of Ranked Choice voting in Georgia.
Some weeks ago an organization called Eternal Vigilance Action, founded by former Rep Scot Turner, held an event to honor those he said were deserving of recognition for their support on Ranked Choice Voting.
Ironically, two of the "advocates" Turner named in his announcement are sponsors of the Bill to Ban Ranked Choice, Senator Max Burns and Senator Randy Robertson.
The whole bonfire should be no surprise, a review of the Georgia Ethics Reporting Site shows that Turners Eternal Vigilance org garnered $0 zero in contributions and $) zero in expenditures as of their last disclosure report. One can't get much less support than that.
