There is a lot of misinformation going around about today's vote by the Georgia State Election Board to pass a rule requiring hand-counting of ballots. The misinformation is causing false elation across the country, as Georgia is a critical state for the 2024 presidential election.

While the above text is technically correct, the SEB did not order the hand-tabulation of votes during elections in Georgia. They only passed a rule requiring the ballots to be hand-counted to match the machine total.

While this is definitely a move in the right direction, it does nothing about the alleged possibility of machine adjudication of votes away from the voter's intention. The QR codes still do not allow the voter to confirm his vote and this is against Georgia law as confirmed by Judge Totenburg in 2020.

The Georgia Record has been reporting heavily on SEB actions since the change in personnel on the board.

Below is a video we did with Garland Favorito of VoterGA.org on the issue in August.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.

You have no clue who those programmers are. You have know idea what they will do once given access to your phone.

Never-not menus, not government - fill out a form if you must.
