Iowa Governor Kiim Reynolds announced yesterday that she was endorcing DeSantis in his run for President. This left many people wondering why she would do this given DeSantis poor showing in the race for the Republican nomination.

The Iowa polls, as reported by RealClearPolitics, provide no explanation for Reynolds' choice. Trump is currently leading by 31 points in Iowa:

Is Reynolds relying on National Polls? It would seem not since Trump is even farther ahead (45.9 points) on the National scope:

Do Iowans have some great love for DeSantis? After the scenes from the Iowa State Fair several weeks ago many say Trump was the resounding favorite. DeSantis became better know as the "Egg Man" for serving eggs in one of the venues and for his expletive when he was Trumps plane flying over:

Perhaps Reynolds doesn't have many things to like about DeSantis. Perhaps she's more interested in Stopping Trump.
