The next meeting of the state election board is scheduled for 9:00 AM this Tuesday morning, February 13th, 2024.
The proposal would allow the SEB to refer the subject to the legislature who would then be able to take up the matter and potentially move forward with an appropriate Bill.
The state election board is allowing people across Georgia to make public comment prior to this important meeting in the hopes of gaining insight into the public's concerns regarding no-excuse absentee ballots, prior to deciding to refer the proposal.
No-excuse absentee ballots have been one of several key concerns regarding Georgia's elections, given the number and scope of anomalies recorded and documented following the 2020 election. Documentaries such as "2000 Mules" showed alleged widespread trafficking of ballots, and highlighted concerns regarding security of drop boxes, transportation and other operations surrounding absentee ballots.
Experts note two key areas for citizens to consider
#1 - Loss of the ability to vote by secret ballot - since absentee ballots pass through many hands, in some cases lacking rigorous chain of custody documents, this can reduce a voter's ability to rely on a secret ballot cast and counted as the voter intended.
#2 – Loss loss of control of the ballot - again since the ballot may go through many sets of hands and many processes, the potential for voter fraud may be present at any of these stages.

.
Vote “No” - on the no excuse absentee ballots. Un-secure chain of custody and violation of voter’s “secret vote”are at issue. Voter fraud has gone unchecked in Ga. The SOS has infringed on voter rights and the SEB must defend and secure the vote in Ga. They must also address the wrongdoing in the 2020… elections.
I was unaware that "absentee ballots pass through many hands, in some cases lacking rigorous chain of custody..."
I do have a concern that there are many seniors under the age of 75 who are unable to stand for long periods in a voting line but who ARE able to drive to their voting place and walk to the drop box to deposit their ballot.
