Khalid Kamau, the mayor of South Fulton, was arrested Saturday after entering a house where he was reportedly held by the homeowner at gunpoint until the police arrived.

Kamau is widely recognized his socialist stance and reportedly told authorities he thought the house was abandoned.

After being booking including the smiling mugshot above Kamau was released on $11,000 in bail.
