In a letter directed to the Executive Board and members of the Georgia Republican Assembly, members of the Gwinnett County GRA, in a unanimous decision, declared that they were disassociating with the GRA and that their memberships should be placed on "inactive" status.
In their letter, the organization cite issues with GRA leadership and states,
"Recently, GRA Leadership has threatened to discredit, cause harm to, or expel additional members of the Gwinnett County Republican Assembly as well as other GRA chapters for the “offense” of speaking out against your positions on issues and candidates running for office, and/or your mishandling of GRA and GOP matters. You have made similar threats against those who have exposed your attacks and false charges against fellow GRA members acting in defense of the accused members. Tyranny reigns supreme in your GRA."

Members across Georgia expressed concern about the GRA and GRA-PAC earlier this year when evidence suggesting that the GRA-PAC may have, through a third party, sent out false information regarding David Cross, at the time a candidate for Republican Committeeman.
