Johns Creek Mayor Michael Bodker's term is ending soon; however, it seems he may have found another way to remain involved in local government in the Atlanta metro area.

Tomorrow the Fulton County Commissioners are meeting and Liz Hausmann Commissioner from District 1 has nominated Michael Bodker, for a seat on the Board of the Development Authority of Fulton County.

We have written about Bodker's violent exploits frequently at the Johns Creek Post, and called for his resignation after he was arrested for domestic violence last year.

Local Johns Creek residents are banding together to protest this appointment.

Many of you have expressed with much delight and a sigh of relief that the Mayor Michael Bodker "reign of disappointment and terror" is ending......is it really? wrote a member of the Johns Creek community in an email received at the JCP.

The last thing we need is to have more drama, manipulation and abuse being given to the rest of Fulton County plus this Board by the "problem child" known as Michael Bodker.

If you agree it's time for the Emperor aka Michael Bodker to return to private life full time.  Please either copy the attached letter or draft your own communication to the Fulton County Commission whose meeting begins at 10:00am tomorrow. Here are the email addresses for the Fulton County Commission:  <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>, <[email protected]>

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
