Res judicata is a Latin term for a legal doctrine protecting Americans from abuse by the government.
Once a matter is adjudicated, it’s over. The government can prosecute citizens for alleged offenses, and either convict or acquit.
Those convicted have the right of appeal, but those acquitted are done. No second bites at the prosecution apple for the government.
Res Judicata means the matter is judged.
The November 5 election is res judicata for Donald J. Trump.
The American people adjudicated the host of administrative, criminal, and civil prosecutions of Trump – impeachments, indictments, and convictions driven largely by Anti-Trump political resentment – on election day.
With full awareness of the many claims posted against him - by angry women from decades past, by angry Democrat partisans, and by angry left-wing prosecutors like Fanni Willis, Leticia James, and Alvin Bragg – Americans voted Trump.
Political analyst Mark Halperin is predicting a “pardon deal” - involving Georgia Gov. Kemp, New York Governor Hochul, and President Biden - to now make the anti-Trump lawfare stop, including a pardon for Biden’s long troubled adult son, Hunter.
For the good of the country, let’s hope so.
Americans voted for Trump, notwithstanding the impeachment and January 6th C0ngressional hearings, the televised courtroom proceedings, the incessant anti-Trump mainstream media coverage, and the Kamala campaign’s billion-dollar propaganda machine.
The jury of the American people sided with Trump.
The matter is judged.
Res judicata.
