Yesterday grassroots Patriots all over Georgia rang Senators phones to say NO to HB 986.
Keep the calls going. If you rang all three - do it again today. And get ready to do it again tomorrow. Our Senators MUST hear clearly that the people of Georgia do not want this legislation in our State.
Just like last year's Mental Health Bill 520 we can expect to hear arguments saying HB 986 is necessary because of the potential of "deep fakes." But what about the bill actually helps election integrity? Nothing.
The reality is nothing will stop bad actors from, trying to pull the wool over peoples eyes and we all must be cautious and vigilant and question information we see and hear.
.HB 986 however sets the stage for censorship based on the judgement of a few while directly curtailing free speech as described in a recent interview between Tucker Carlson and Michael Benz.
Tucker Carlson recently spoke of Free Speech as the defining factor that makes the United States exceptional.
.His guest Michael Benz then spoke of efforts moving from Federal level to State level to impact free speech. Sound like HB 986? It should.
