Stone Mountain Chorus

The Stone Mountain Chorus, an Atlanta chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society centered in Johns Creek, is pleased to introduce our new Director, Ben McDaniel. To celebrate his arrival, the Chorus will open up rehearsal to welcome prospective singers for a special Guest Night on Tuesday, August 20, 2019, at 7:00 pm. The Chorus rehearses at Peachtree Corners Baptist Church, 4480 Peachtree Corners Circle, Peachtree Corners GA, 30092.

Established in 1981, the Stone Mountain Chorus has been a part of the Atlanta music scene for over three decades. As a community-minded men’s chorus, its mission is devoted to music education and enjoyment, while promoting the barbershop style of a cappella singing. Ben is uniquely qualified to lead the Chorus as we look to expand our membership. He earned his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Wichita State University. Ben has experience as a music educator, arranger, vocal coach, and barbershop singer.

Guests will be invited to sing with us as Ben leads the Chorus and gives a spirited introduction to barbershop harmony. Likewise, Singers who join us for the evening will get free tickets to our upcoming Fall Show with “Atlanta’s Entertainment Tradition” Banks & Shane on November 9, 2019.

To conclude, you can find more information at https://www.stonemountainchorus.org

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.
