Tree Clearing on Medlock Bridge Rd for Billboard View

November 16, 2016

Lots of trees on Medlock Bridge Rd are being removed in an aggressive manner. According to one of the workers at the site, the Billboard is to be 65' feet high. Action Outdoor has permission to go up to 80' feet.

Even with the spectacular height of Sixty Five Feet, above the tree-line, the Billboard company took advantage of a clause in the settlement to remove trees, to improve the view corridor. The trees would have blocked the 5 feet diameter, super-structure pole, the sign will be high above.

These trees were trimmed yearly, so they would not interfere with the power lines.

The Georgia Record was relaunched in June of 2021 and has been extremely successful fighting corruption in the state named after King George of England. The original paper was started in 1899 and published into the early 20th century. In 2020, CDM (Creative Destruction Media) acquired Johns Creek Post and brought back The Georgia Record to better represent the state rather than just Johns Creek News.

Visually Blighted in Johns Creek

Each time you pass a BodkerBoard, think about how you will vote in the fall. I know we are in my home.

How wonderful..... beautiful trees that absorb CO2 and make oxygen are replaced by uglier than heck billboards.

Absolute eye sore!! Every time I pass this monstrosity my blood boils. Cut down trees, build more strip malls, and erect more signs...all the ingredients to transform Johns Creek into Placelessness, USA.

Thanks JC government for permitting numerous package stores, vapor shops, magic fingers massage parlors, and now we get to have billboards. As our city continues its slide to decadence, what do you have in store for us next - strip clubs, adult novelty shops?
