Somewhere around the 'holiday' and ‘social justice’ event announcements on the Ebenezer Baptist Church website is a link to their COVID guidelines. They are in the form a 'Message from Pastor Warnock' dated March 21, 2022, which was written shortly before the church's Easter re-opening after a nearly TWO-YEAR physical meeting shutdown.
By 2022, one may assume that letter to involve the usual guidance to wear a mask if not feeling well and to stay home if you have symptoms, fairly normal for places of legal public accommodation. However, Warnock's letter includes some shocking 'COVID-related' requirements upon not only building visitors, but also contractors and tenants.
The letter reads:
Pre-registration is no longer required but everyone who enters the building must be fully vaccinated. Boosters are not required but encouraged. Therefore, you should be ready to show your vaccination card and identification whenever you enter for worship, events, and meetings on the Ebenezer campus. We will also explore systems that can expedite this process.
The guidelines go on to require:
All staff, contractors, tenants, and visitors to the building must be fully vaccinated. Boosters are not required but encouraged.
Is this perhaps the reason why Senator Warnock was trying to recently evict tenants?
He ends his letter by quoting a Bible verse:
“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ….If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together” — 1 Corinthians 12: 12&26
In a display of heresy, he ends his message, dripping with coercion. The reference to the Biblical idea of community appears to be entirely out of touch with the authoritarian reality he has been nurturing there for years. It comes across as 'religious acting' to execute his federal government role as a purveyor of the experimental vaccine. Essentially, the use of these verses attempts to propagate the idea that if one doesn't 'suffer' by doing what he says, they are not truly part of the body of Christ. And, everyone needs to rejoice because 'he' is being honored by serving in the U.S. Senate. As his ex-wife said to law enforcement in 2020, when she felt he had endangered her life, 'He is a great actor.' And, there are many in his audience who are not awakened to his 'real life' tyrannical actions.
